Trivia & History
Introduced in 1954 with a circular slide rule on the bezel so pilots could hand-calculate fuel burn, climb rate, and cruising speed, it was adopted as the official watch of the AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association). Today it's worn more as an aviation heirloom than as an active flight instrument.
